Remission grant forms

If a family has a ‘NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate’, there is a remission grant of 60% of course cost, for children resident in Wirral and attending a Borough LEA school, when visiting the Oaklands Centre with their school during term time, weekdays or weekends. Alternatively, if a family is receiving Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance the remission grant is available.)

Once you have your groups details please complete the following two. This will speed up your induction to the Centre on the first day of your course and enable your group to have more activity time

Risk Assessments

Oaklands is fully Risk Assessed for all our Outdoor Activities. There are a few considerations you may wish to make prior to your course:

Visiting Staff work in loco-parentis during your course

Do all your visiting staff hold a current CRB?

Do you have an appropriate gender split of visiting staff for your group?

Have you risk assessed your journey to and from the Centre?

Activity groups must not exceed 12 including 1 participating adult, are all your staff happy to fully participate in activates?

Evening activities can be arranged for your group for an additional cost. If no activities have been arranged do you have activities planned for the evenings/down time?

Have you considered dealing with a pupil/s who may be unable to participate in activities during your course?

Have you made appropriate arrangements for any pupils who may have special needs?
