Best bits of your course

The gorge
walk was the best because we went down the slide and got soaked but it was
fun.
When we
went under the waterfall, we all got drenched and cold but it was a great
experience. I enjoyed challenging myself as I cannot swim confidently,
when we where went through the shockingly cold water in the gorge.
|
Most challenging
bits…
|
The
canoeing was the hardest as you needed to all row at the same time, but we
finally realised that we needed to work as a team.
The rock
climbing was challenging as I am scared of heights, but my friends and
team encouraged me to climb up yellow rock.
The
canoeing was also hard at the start because it hurt our joints in our arms
and hands but it was still a good rewarding experience that I strongly
advice others to have a go at this great experience.
|
What did you learn
about yourself?
|
That we
needed confidence and bravery to complete the activities.
That I
can overcome my fears.
That anyone can have a go.
|
What did you learn
about others (your team mates)
|
That you
can trust your team mates during the activities, especially in the rock
climbing.
That your
friends are always their for you through hard struggling times
|
What did you learn
about the environment?
|
Not to
leave litter on the floor, because it can be recycled and made into
something else.
That
their were beautiful stunning views and we need to protect them as they
are important.
That recycling is important.

Gorge
walking was the best activity because I enjoyed going on a zip wire and
landing in different places. The zip wire was scary but also fun.
Having
fun.Rock climbing as it was challenging, we learnt how important friction
was when climbing. We also learnt how place our feet when climbing up the
mountain.
|
Most challenging
bits…
|
Rock
climbing was the most challenging, as it was hard to spot where we could
place our feet and as I was scared of heights but everyone helped each
other and was able to do it so we decided we would try.
The
canoeing was the hardest and most challenging, as you needed to use all
your strength to push the paddle through the water because of the strong
winds.
|
What did you learn
about yourself?
|
That I
can be more confident in activities.
That we
were up to challenges and able to do activities we didn’t think we could
do. That sometimes we need to push ourselves rather than give up.
|
What did you learn
about others (your team mates)
|
That you
can trust your team and communicate with each other well.
That you
should listen to what they have to say and give them support. That we need
to be friends to each other to help them and for them to also help you.
|
What did you learn
about the environment?
|
That
people climb up mountains in a similar way to which we did.
There was a beautiful
view.
The
environment is beautiful and there are lots of good views.
We need to remember to
look after the environment.
