Use of photos...

Visiting groups to Oaklands Outdoor Education Centre have the opportunity to take out with them one of our waterproof digital cameras. These cameras have the capability to take high resolution photos as well as limited video footage. These image resources are transferred to a CD at the end of each course and given to the Group Leader, for use at their discretion based on visiting groups policies. 

Oaklands OEC recognises that images can be an extremely powerful means to record and review the extraordinary experiences of our Outdoor Courses, but also recognise the concerns of parents and guardians regarding the use of these images. Oaklands OEC endeavours to take a responsible attitude towards the use of digital images. As a result we have drawn up these guidelines, based on the Department for Educations advice for the use of digital images:

Register a concern regarding an image...

Images published on our website are selected by the visiting group, and checked to ensure that all appearing in the image have valid consent for pictures to be used. However if you have significant concerns regarding any of the images on our website we can remove them for you. Please complete this form as fully as possible so that we can locate the image and remove it for you.

Please also bear in mind that the full size image will only remain on our website until the next group submit a web-bog (so usually only a week or so)
